Connections

Numerous aircraft carriers operate every day between Denizli and Istanbul. The airlines operate from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) and Istanbul Airport (IST). When you consider buying a plane ticket, always try to use the well-known companies Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines or the ticket platform Skyscanner. Also, always check your departure time and gate as well as the destination. The departure platforms to any of those destinations and many others are easy to find within the airport terminal.

The national carrier Turkish Airlines offers the best options now providing three daily flights from Istanbul Airport. The times are very early morning, morning, and evening. However, you could also view all the aircraft carriers like Pegasus AirlinesAnadoluJet or the ticket platform Skyscanner to travel to Denizli Cardak Airport. Denizli Cardak Airport is about one hour outside the actual city of Denizli. There are taxis available at the airport, but a better option is taking the airport service shuttle called Bay Tur. For every flight there is a shuttle service available and goes only between the airport and the Denizli bus terminal for every flight. It currently costs 25 YTL (4 euros or $5,-) for one way. If you are going to Pamukkale, the Bay Tur can take you from the airport to a dolmus (minibus) that goes to Pamukkale. The Bay Tur schedules can be found here.

From the Denizli bus station you can get on the minibus (Turkish: Dolmus) or taxi to travel to Pamukkale or other local area’s. The minibuses depart the Otogar’s Platform (Gate) 76 on the lower level (below the intercity bus gates) every 15 to 20 minutes. The minibuses usually have seats for about 20 people, so be aware that it can be crowded. If you take the taxi to travel, this will cost you a lot more, but off course faster than the minibus and with more comfort.

Alternative Airports

Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) and Antalya Airport (AYT) are another alternative airports to Denizli. Denizli is about 260 km from these airports, a drive of about 3 hours by bus.
