From Denizli to Pamukkale – travel information and travel guide

It is a 19 kilometer (12 miles) distance between Denizli City and Pamukkale, a drive of 20 minutes. There are direct car, minibus (dolmus) and taxi connections available between the city and Pamukkale.

By minibus (dolmus)

In the city of Denizli it’s important to be aware that there is a main bus station called Denizli Otogar bus station. From the otogar bus station you have to get on the minibus (Turkish: Dolmus) to Pamukkale. This is a 18 kilometers (11 miles) distance. The minibuses depart the Otogar’s Platform Gate 76 on the lower level (below the intercity bus gates) every 15 to 20 minutes. For the minibus from Denizli otogar to Pamukkale the price will be 5 Turkish Lira (0,60 euros or $0.70). The minibuses usually have seats for about 20 people, so be aware that it can be crowded.

By car

It’s a 19 kilometer (12 miles) distance between Denizli City and Pamukkale. By car this will take a drive of 20 minutes. It is a pleasant, safe and easy drive due to well maintained roads and clear signs showing the directions. In the city of Denizli, you can follow the Pamukkale signs.

Your driving license is valid in Turkey as long as it has your photo, is not expired and the name matches your passport. In case you have no car available but you want to drive the route, you can rent cars from multiple rentals.

By taxi

You can also take a cab to Pamukkale from anywhere in the city. This will however cost you a lot more than the other alternatives. The price will be about 70 to 80 YTL (9 euros or $11,-) if you take a taxi from the Denizli Otogar bus station.
